GCDEm FGCD They say when you meet her you'll just know, You'll wanna spend every minute with her and you'll never want to let her go. It was August twenty-sixth bout a year ago, Cathy and Ray were gettin wed wouldn't ya know. I was best man standin next to the groom, When the most wonderful thing happened to the room. In walked this girl thru those church doors, One look at that backless dress and my jaw was on the floor, Who's that? I asked the groom Ray, That's Cathy's friend Sharon, relax Steve everything's okay. I said to myself that's the one, Looks like my galavanting days are done. After the dinner I zeroed in on the girl with the hot body, Said "Cathy didn't tell me she had a friend that was a hottie." She talked about scuba diving and we slow danced to some song, Then I was fetchin her vodka tonics not after long. The night went by and I didn't score her number, Would I ever see this girl again I wondered? Monday came 'round, could'nt get her off my mind, So I went to the hotmail directory to see what I could find. I typed in S-h-a-r-o-n F-l-double-o-d, Would you believe there wasn't one, but there was three. I emailed them all the exact same note, Thanks for the dance, it was nice meeting you I wrote. Well a day later I was quite surprised, I got a reply from sflood fifty-five. Right away I showed a girl at work, What to say I don't want to sound like a jerk. So, charmingly I asked her to go to dinner, We decided on a place in downtown Kitchener. We met, we drank, we talked and we ate, Then she kissed me at the end of the date. I got all anxious and asked her if she wanted to sit in my truck and neck, But she declined said she had to get home or her mom would give her heck. Since that night we've been on a love travel tour from sea to sea, Wisconsin, Sault Ste. Marie, Grand Cayman, and Las Veqas where I got down on one knee. If ya don't already know well I'm gonna warn ya, Sharon and I are movin to California. She's everthing that I dreamed of, She's everthing I wished for, She's everthing I wanted and more. My mother told me to believe in angels, She said I would kiss one someday, I thought it would happen next to St. Peter, I didn't think it would be on my wedding day. |
